Artwork: “Renewal of My Spirit I” (Willow Tree at Edgwater Park) - The most important artwork I will ever create. This piece inspired me to believe in new possibilities, to trust myself, and challenged me to find out what I’m capable of. None of this happens without it.

What a magical experience this has been so far.

Color that shimmers and dances. Experience the difference of metal.

The Renewal of My Spirit

It started as an exercise in gratitude and taught me to look for beauty where others might not bother to look… where I had never bothered to look.

The mundane, the overlooked, and the underappreciated.

It changed the way I experience life and prepared me to pursue a deeply honest, authentic, and vulnerable expression of self.

I could not see nor imagine where it would lead. I stood before it in apprehension and fear.

With a deep breath of acceptance, I decided to trust it, follow it, and take the leap of faith into the unknown.

A spark ignited an explosion of creative energy.

I created, for me, from within me… gratitude, joy, self-love, identity, direction, and hope.

The feeling, and the pull was undeniable and remarkable. “Perhaps, I’m not the only one?” I thought.

I shared it, and came to realizing that by sharing it, I created a signal of sorts.

A signal that pulls in those with whom it resonates.

I was not alone. I am not alone. Neither are you.

We embrace our vulnerable selves with courage, compassion, and acceptance. We forge connections with depth and meaning. We come together.

We make this moment possible.

It is with great excitement (and a dash of disbelief) that I invite you to share this opening night with me. While it is the culmination of everything that has already happened, it is just the beginning, a glimpse, of what is to come.

Perhaps, you’ll see the vision too.

No matter what, your presence makes you part of the story forever, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
