ABOUT
JASON TOTH

The short story.

My name is Jason Toth—I am an artist. It took a journey overcoming denial and confusion to claim the title and identity. A journey discovering that my passions are not fleeting whims or desires—they are the essence of my existence. In this discovery, I grew to embrace myself, express my perspective and share it as a way to prove that we are not alone… that I am not alone.

The story I share is one of facing life’s identity shattering moments, then finding opportunity to rebuild amongst the broken pieces. It is a story of learning that Acceptance is not Defeat. It is a story of finding beauty and color when existence feels ugly, dull, and unfulfilled.

My story is uniquely mine, yet I’ve come to learn emotions are universal, a common thread of our unified identity. When vulnerability is shared and reciprocated, beautiful moments of connected humanity, respect, and love are created; so, I share.

Every moment of existence is a beautiful celebration of triumph. Yet far too often we find ourselves living in our heads, projecting our fears upon the world, and losing sight of the beauty that is.

We should all be celebrating.

About my art.

Hyper-color photographic art is what I’m creating. Photography is my medium; architecture and landscape are my inspirations, and mixed media is my presentation. The result, vibrant and stunning art pieces that captivate, mesmerize, and inspire moments of mindful gratitude.

The art I’m creating represents a higher version of myself; one that I aspire to be at all times but often feels just out of reach.

I seek to capture the mundane, overlooked, and under-appreciated from a perspective that is both unique and very common. Many scenes are photographed from a moving vehicle, while others have required crossing the occasional “No Trespassing” sign.

My goal is simple: inspire gratitude within myself and others, for our existence and our circumstances, by creating and sharing new perspectives of the everyday. Perhaps this is easier said than done, but I might as well try.

  • Jason is quite literally a gem of a human, and his art speaks for itself. I was lucky enough to be the first person to buy his art at City Goods in October of 2023, and the experience overall and meeting Jason was amazing. He talked me through each piece and ensured I got the right one for me. His pieces of Cleveland portray the city in a unique way, and when they’re printed on the metal they truly make for a show stopping piece. I cannot recommend Jason and his art enough!
